The Texas Rangers have officially signed second-round pick Connor Comeau and third-round selection Brody Bumila , continuing to finalize agreements with the top of their 2026 MLB Draft class.
Both players were among the most talented high school prospects available at their respective draft positions, giving Texas another pair of high-ceiling additions as the organization continues to invest heavily in its farm system.
According to MLB Pipeline's Jim Callis, Comeau signed for a reported $2.5 million after being selected with the 54th overall pick. The signing bonus came in well above the slot value of $1,805,300, reflecting the Rangers' belief in the Texas native's long-term potential.
Widely regarded as one of the most advanced prep hitters in the draft, Comeau impressed evaluators with his mature offensive approach and projectable frame.
