This policy explains what information Daily Newspapercollects and how it's used. We keep this simple because we collect very little: there are no accounts, no sign-ups, and no payment details anywhere on this site.
Location detection
To show you regionally relevant headlines, your browser may ask permission to share your approximate location. If granted, your coordinates are sent to a third-party reverse geocoding service (BigDataCloud) purely to determine your country. We do not store your coordinates on our servers. If location permission is denied or unavailable, we fall back to estimating your country from your IP address via a third-party service (ipapi.co), which necessarily involves sending your IP address to that provider. You can override the detected location at any time using the location picker in the site header.
Local storage
If you manually choose a country, we save that preference in your browser's local storage so we remember it on your next visit. This data stays on your device. We don't have server-side access to it, and you can clear it at any time by clearing your browser data or using the "Use auto-detected location" option.
Third-party links
Every headline links to the original publisher's website. Once you click through, you're subject to that publisher's own privacy policy and practices. We have no control over, and take no responsibility for, third-party sites.
Cookies and analytics
We do not currently use tracking cookies or third-party analytics. If this changes in the future, we'll update this policy accordingly.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time as the site evolves. Continued use of Daily Newspaper after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
