LeBron James announced Friday that he is signing with the Philadelphia 76ers. The Celtics’ rivals are all-in on the upcoming season, after adding one of the best players ever, and trading for former Celtics star Jaylen Brown.
Some Boston sports fans are eager to see the Sixers. They don’t think all the star power is going to bring the City of Brotherly Love a title.
“There’s no chance this works out. It’s a disaster waiting to happen,” a Celtics fan named Josh said. Have you ever seen a superstar team work out when they put it together this way? There are not enough shots, too many stars a million attitudes. I’m happy to watch it implode."
James knocked Boston out of the playoffs on four different occasions between his time in Cleveland and Miami. The 41-year-old was rumored to join the 76ers, so his signing wasn’t a big surprise. Some Philly fans say the only reason he went there…
