Los Angeles Rams quarterback Ty Simpson is the only first-round pick from the 2026 NFL Draft to not have a contract signed.
Simpson was taken with the No. 13th overall selection — a truly shocking pick considering the team’s contender status and Matthew Stafford’s closing window.
The Rams front office, however, decided to draft Stafford’s successor, believing he was better than NFL Draft experts thought (the consensus was that he had a second- or third-round grade).
Simpson has already started working hard with his new team , participating in rookie minicamp and meeting all of his new coaches ahead of training camp.
