Unfortunately, at a time when the focus should be on celebrating the great players that make the league so special, a lot of the discourse surrounding the sport has had little to do with the actual basketball being played.
One of the weekend’s biggest storylines has revolved around Indiana Fever reserve guard Sophie Cunningham. I n an ESPN feature, Cunningham, who is averaging 9.3 points off the bench, spoke about the need to “protect women’s sports.”
