WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. — Will star wide receiver Malik Nabers be ready for Week 1?
That question continues to linger, as the Giants on Wednesday held their first training camp practice at The Greenbrier resort.
Before practice, general manager Joe Schoen said he remains hopeful that Nabers will play in Week 1 — but wouldn’t make any guarantees.
“We’re going to see,” Schoen said. “The medical staff has a really good plan for him. We’re going to listen to the patient, so we’re going to see how he reacts. As long as everything goes as planned, we’ll listen to Malik and his body. And hopefully, he’ll be ready.
“But no predictions right now, just because we have a long way to go still, a lot of camp. We had a flight [Tuesday], and he’s still working through some things.”
