Wolves sign Jones and Francis Wolverhampton Wanderers have completed the double-signing of Ellen Jones and Olivia Francis. WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via a media update from Wolves earlier today.
Winger Jones joins Wolves on a free transfer after recently leaving the club’s Barclays WSL2 rivals Sunderland. The 23-year-old impressed during her time in the North East, making a significant contribution to the club’s attacking unit. Jones spent three years on Wearside after joining the club from Leicester City.
Forward Francis also joins Wolves on a free transfer. She left former club Plymouth Argyle earlier this summer. The 20-year-old was a member of the side which battled bravely for the FA Women’s National League Southern Premier Division title last season. The Pilgrims eventually reached the play-off final, only to go down 1-0 to Wolves. Francis netted 10 goals across…
