LAWRENCE — The Kansas basketball preseason exhibition slate features three games that’ll all be played at home inside Allen Fieldhouse, ahead of the 2026-27 regular season.
First, KU will face Pittsburg State on Oct. 16. Then there’ll be an Oct. 21 game against Louisville. And on Oct. 25, there’ll be a game against Duke.
Considering the recent announcement that the Duke exhibition would take place in what’s being described as the Blue Blood Classic, there was intrigue into why the Jayhawks scheduled this matchup. And as KU coach Bill Self spoke recently about the overall state of the program, he addressed why his program wanted to do it. He thinks it’s a great opportunity for the team, which next year will go and play a road exhibition game against Duke.
