INDIANAPOLIS -- Carson Hocevar won the Brickyard 400 pole and led the race early but his day will be remembered for flipping off Corey Heim at 180 miles per hour late in Stage 2.
Heim would win the race ; Hocevar finished ninth.
Hocevar had pitted from the lead in Stage 1 but got caught up in traffic and couldn't make up the ground he lost.
