Former Washington Huskies outfielder Jadelyn Allchin helped the Utah Talons capture their second straight Athletes Unlimited Softball League Championship on Saturday afternoon with a 6-1 win over the Chicago Bandits to complete a two-game sweep in the series.
After going 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in the first inning and a double in the fourth, 3 runs batted in, and a run scored on Sunday, Allchin was voted as the AUSL Championship MVP by league personnel and the media.
“I don’t think I ever left the Talons, which is my favorite feeling,” Allchin said after the game. “Even though I was a reserve last year, I was able to celebrate with them on the field, but being on the other side this year…it was all props to them. They still had the same belief in me.”
