The Sequoyah Classic is next month, and the Lady Eagles are hoping the community can help make sure visitors leave with more than just great matches.
Sequoyah volleyball is seeking baked goods and treat donations for its annual bake sale during the Sequoyah Classic Tournament, scheduled for Friday, Aug. 14, and Saturday, Aug. 15.
All proceeds from the fundraiser will go directly toward the program's goal of purchasing a portable net system for the Lady Eagles.
The program is asking community members to donate homemade or store-bought treats, including cookies, brownies, cakes, breads and other baked goods. Individually wrapped items are especially encouraged because they are ideal for single-serving sales during the tournament.
Organizers prefer donations be dropped off by Thursday, Aug. 13, though baked goods will also be accepted on the morning of Friday, Aug. 14, before…
