Uli Hoeneß apologizes to Max Eberl, weighs in on Luis Diaz and Michael Olise transfer talk, and praises Harry Kane
Bayern Munich honorary president Uli Hoeneß has conducted his first major interview ahead of the forthcoming 2026/27 Bundesliga campaign. Speaking to reporters after Bayern’s 15-0 preseason friendly victory over amateur side FC Rottach-Egern at the club’s Tegernsee training camp on Thursday evening, Hoeneß apologized to Board Member for Sport Max Eberl and spoke on other topics.
Hoeneß apologized to Eberl for publicly questioning the executive’s future shortly before the 2026 DFB-Pokal final. In true Hoeneß fashion, however, the 74-year-old blamed the source that he spoke to for lying to him about the publication date.
Hoeneß had previously placed the probability of Eberl receiving a new contract at “60:40” during a Spiegel interview conducted shortly before Bayern…
