The NFL Players Association is investigating the Carolina Panthers .
According to Joe Person of The Athletic, the NFLPA plans to examine the circumstances surrounding second-year edge rusher Nic Scourton's injury. Scourton tore his ACL on the first day of Panthers training camp , on Thursday, July 23.
Per Person, the NFLPA will be looking into whether the Panthers were following the rules of an acclimation period to begin training camp that are laid out in the league and union's Collective Bargaining Agreement. The CBA's guidelines state that live contact is prohibited during the first five days of training camp, and that the first day of camp "shall be limited to physical examinations, meetings, and classroom instruction; no on-field activities shall be permitted other than running and conditioning."
