Toronto Raptors all-time leading scorer DeMar DeRozan is currently a free agent. Reaching a buyout agreement with the Sacramento Kings, DeRozan entered unrestricted free agency, where he will have the chance to pick his team for his 18th NBA season.
The six-time NBA All-Star spent the first nine seasons of his career in Toronto, making four All-Star teams and two All-NBA teams. He got down-ballot MVP votes in 2017 when he averaged 27.3 points and finished 11th for that award, following it up with an eighth-place finish the next year when he appeared in 80 games and helped lead the Raptors to a first-place finish in the Eastern Conference standings. That season ultimately ended in the Eastern Conference semifinals, when Toronto was swept by LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
