In need of a long snapper with Matt Orzech out with a calf injury to start training camp, the Green Bay Packers signed veteran long snapper Cal Adomitis following a workout with the team on Thursday, according to reporting from Bill Huber of Packers on SI .
Adomitis (6-2, 238, 28 years old) was one of three long snappers in Green Bay among a 10-player workout group on Thursday. The Packers are also reportedly signing receiver Kaden Prather from the group, so at least two corresponding roster moves are coming on Friday.
Orzech, the Packers' long snapper since 2023, started training camp on the PUP list with a calf injury. Although the Packers don't believe Orzech has a long-term injury, not having a true long snapper has complicated the start of Packers training camp.
