Lead Stories says: Satire Page Did WNBA star Sophie Cunningham say LeBron James "doesn't have the correct genitalia" to discuss transgender women in sports? No, that's not true: The claim originated on a Facebook page known for posting satirical content that carries the disclaimer, "Nothing on this page is real." The image in the original post also bears the same warning label. Lead Stories found no credible news coverage of any such statement.
The claim appeared in a post and image (archived here ) by the @sublimeamerica account on X on July 30, 2026. It read:
Sophie Cunningham says she 'couldn't care less' if LeBron James is disappointed about her stance on men in women's sports.
'Floppy should stay out of it,' Cunningham told Sports Illustrated. 'He doesn't have the correct genitalia to have an opinion on this'
