Green Bay Packers rookie offensive lineman Jager Burton is missing practice on Thursday with a hamstring injury he suffered during the opening practice of training camp on Wednesday.
Coach Matt LaFleur says Burton felt the injury during an individual period at Wednesday's practice and was pulled from practice as a precautionary measure. Burton is scheduled for testing to determine the severity of the injury on Thursday.
"He felt something in individual. So we're just being cautious with him," LaFleur said before practice on Thursday. "We'll have a little better idea when he goes through the testing today. He will not be out there today."
Per Matt Schneidman of The Athletic , Burton left the practice field with a trainer and returned without a helmet, signaling his day was done.
Hamstring injuries are notoriously tricky, so Burton's issue is one to monitor as training camp continues…
