The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has announced that it has rescheduled its upcoming elective congress.
In an official statement, the nation’s football governing body said the date shift is due to a clash with the Super Eagles of Nigeria’s match against Madagascar.
The NFF was scheduled to hold elections into its executive committee on Saturday, September 26 in Lafia, Nasarawa State.
According to NFF, the decision to shift the date to September 27 was reached at an extraordinary general assembly held virtually on Wednesday.
NFF President, Ibrahima Gusau, disclosed that the Confederation of African Football had fixed the clash between Nigeria and Madagascar for September 25, and majority of its members would not be available within 24 hours to honour the earlier date.
