1989 NASCAR Cup Series champ to host charity ride in Deadwood \n \n Amnerican Flat Track has appointed NASCAR Hall of Famer Rusty Wallace the Grand Marshal of the Caterpillar Jackpine Gypsies Short Track. The Flat Track round will be held August 10 at the South Dakota track, during the 86th Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.

\n Wallace made his name in NASCAR racing, winning the 1989 NASCAR Cup Series and earning 55 career Cup Series wins. But he also rides, and will be hosting a charity ride Aug. 15 in Deadwood, S.D., with the proceeds supporting the NASCAR Foundation and Special Olympics of South Dakota.
