Lord Ian Botham is considered on of cricket's greatest all-rounders [Getty Images] England cricket legend Lord Ian Botham has revealed his frustration at fans who question why his grandson, James, represents Wales at rugby.
Lord Botham is widely considered one of the greatest all-rounders to play the game – scoring more than 5,000 test runs and taking almost 400 wickets for England.
But his grandson, James, 28, who was born in Cardiff and plays for the capital city rugby team, has won 24 caps for Wales as a flanker.
Lord Botham, 70, said people often asked him why James plays for Wales, responding: "I tell you why he's playing for Wales, because he is Welsh."
