The wife of Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy was shot multiple times in the family's Virginia home on Sunday night, ESPN's Nate Taylor reports.
Mia Bieniemy was hospitalized with "serious injuries," ESPN reports , citing police. Eric was with the Chiefs in Missouri earlier Sunday as the team practiced on its second day of training camp.
The Chiefs released a statement Monday morning confirming they are "aware of the incident involving Eric Bieniemy's family" but did not offer any additional details.
