Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy is dealing with a shocking family situation following the shooting of his wife, Mia, 57, at their Virginia home on Sunday evening.
Mia suffered multiple gunshot wounds and “serious injuries,” according to reports, and now a stunning twist has emerged. Nate Taylor of ESPN.com reveals Mia suffered arm and chest injuries .
The couple’s 27-year-old son, Elijah, has been arrested and charged with three felonies following the incident. Reports state Elijah is being held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center without bond.
Bieniemy was in Missouri with the Chiefs over the weekend when the incident occurred, as the team ramped up training camp for the 2026-27 NFL season at Missouri Western State.
