A.J. Brown might be the new guy in the New England Patriots' locker room, but that doesn't excuse him from being called out by Mike Vrabel.
The Patriots ' head coach called out the three-time All-Pro wide receiver for missing a catch during a competitive rep against cornerback Christian Gonzalez on Day 1 of training camp practice. Patriots quarterback Drake Maye floated a high pass, and Brown failed to pull it in with one hand.
When speaking with media members on Monday, the star receiver admitted Vrabel called him out during a meeting for the play.
"Maybe he thought that I was just trying to get the crowd going or something, but it's Vrabes, you know? You just take everything with a grain of salt and listen to him. Just make the catch," Brown told reporters on Monday.
