The Chicago Cubs have had one of those seasons in which nothing seems to go right from a pitcher health perspective.
But despite all the injuries, they're in the playoff picture and expected to be buyers ahead of the August 3 trade deadline.
And unlike some other teams, the Cubs might actually have more interest in pursuing a pitcher with multiple years of control.
In this case, that looks like someone like Los Angeles Angels lefty Reid Detmers.
ESPN's Jesse Rogers named Detmers specifically in a new article on Monday as he examined what the Cubs could do in the coming days.
