Former Florida baseball standout Jac Caglianone has found a groove during his sophomore campaign with the Kansas City Royals .
The outfielder and first baseman, who was selected with the sixth overall pick of the 2024 MLB Draft by the Royals, started slowly during his rookie campaign, putting up a .157 batting average along with a .237 on-base percentage and a .295 slugging percentage for a .532 OPS (49 OPS+) over his first 60 big league games in 2025. However, he has taken a major step toward fulfilling his immense potential in 2026.
This summer, the left-handed slugger is slashing .251/.311/.446 for a solid .757 OPS (113 OPS+) with 16 home runs and 38 RBIs, while striking out 109 times against 27 walks.
