Cam Skattebo, whose rookie NFL season was cut short last year because of a gruesome lower leg injury, reported to training camp with the New York Giants on Wednesday, July 29, and participated in team drills at The Greenbrier in West Virginia.
Giants general manager Joe Schoen pronounced the former Arizona State star “good to go” while meeting with reporters.
Skattebo suffered a dislocated right ankle, an open tibia fracture and a ruptured deltoid ligament during a Week 8 game the Philadelphia Eagles last October. He rushed for 410 yards and five touchdowns on 101 carries and also caught 24 passes for 207 yards and two touchdowns before getting injured.
Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart told reporters July 29 how happy he was to have Skattebo back on the field.
