Blessing Ibunge in Port Harcourt
Presiding Bishop of the Lighthouse Family Church, Apostle Dr. Michael Cassidy, has urged the South African government to adopt diplomacy instead of policies and actions that fuel xenophobic attacks against Nigerians and other African nationals.
Cassidy made the call, yesterday, in Port Harcourt during activities marking his 50th birthday, where he reflected on his life's journey, ministry and the need for African nations to strengthen unity rather than promote division.
Commenting on the treatment of Nigerians in South Africa, the cleric said the country should remember the support it received from Nigeria and other African nations during the apartheid era.
