Barcelona veteran’s loan move to Ajax back on track as tax issues resolved – report
The stalled loan transfer of goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen from FC Barcelona to AFC Ajax has officially reactivated, reports journalist Matteo Moretto .
The complex tax issues that had completely blocked the deal earlier this week have now been fully resolved, clearing the main hurdle for the temporary switch for the veteran star to proceed.
Solving the economic deadlock
The 34-year-old German international goalkeeper had originally seen his proposed season-long loan move to the Eredivisie club stall due to disagreements over fiscal rules and tax residency laws between Spain and the Netherlands.
Given the difference in taxes between the two nations, there was a minor dispute about who would make up for it.
