Last summer I discussed why Ladd McConkey’s top-14 WR ADP was ridiculous, in part because Keenan Allen and Quentin Johnston were somehow both outside the top 50. One year later, it’s happening again. How should fantasy managers react?
My concerns have nothing to do with McConkey’s talent and everything to do with a packed receiving corps where no one should be viewed as a weekly alpha. McConkey’s WR20 ADP is well ahead of Johnston’s (WR46), despite the fact that Johnston actually scored more fantasy points per game last season. Harris (WR80) is being inexplicably ignored; the 2025 second-round rookie finally has room to step into a starting role.
Then there’s a beefed-up tight end group consisting of Oronde Gadsden and David Njoku, which should earn more looks from Justin Herbert than last year’s combination of Tyler Conklin and Will Dissly. In the backfield, a potentially full season…
