GREEN BAY – Green Bay Packers coach Matt LaFleur is fired up for the start of training camp .
At his news conference before the first practice of the season, he said players know how eager he is to see what kind of team the Packers will be.
“I told the team yesterday, this is as excited as I've ever been coaching this football team in my time here,” LaFleur said July 29. “And it's because of the people we have in the room. I mean, players, coaches, support staff, everybody. So, we're just ready to go.”
When asked about his long-term expectations for the team, he said his thoughts were elsewhere.
“I'll be honest with you, I'm not even focused on that,” he said. “Like, I want to focus on the day-to-day and just push these guys, and they push each other to be the best we can be.
