A chapter in the devastating 2026 story of Carolina Panthers outside linebacker Nic Scourton has been closed.
According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, the NFL Players Association has concluded their investigation into Scourton's knee injury from last week and determined that there was no wrongdoing by the Panthers.
Scourton, during the very first outing of the team's training camp from last Thursday, tore his ACL . The NFLPA looked into the matter to ascertain whether or not Carolina violated the collective bargaining agreement's guidelines on summer workouts.
The CBA prohibits teams from engaging in high-intensity activity during the early days of training camp. Scourton's tear occurred during the established five-day acclimation period for players.
Head coach Dave Canales was asked about the investigation this past Sunday.
