The Washington Huskies football team will have several positions they'll attempt to sort through during summer training camp and practices. One of those positions will be running back.
The Huskies are looking for a new primary ball-carrier after last year's leading rusher, Jonah Coleman, was selected in the 2026 NFL Draft by the Denver Broncos . The team's running back with the second most rushing yards, Adam Mohammed, transferred to Cal in the offseason.
Entering spring practice, it was expected that sophomore running back Jordan Washington, who was the third running back on the team's depth chart as a redshirt freshman last year, would be the front-runner to earn the starting job.
Washington opened spring practice receiving the majority of the team's first-team reps in the backfield.
