Wide receiver Kayshon Boutte is proving a point throughout the New England Patriots' early training camp practices.
He is showing that maybe he isn't a player the team should consider trading away for a late-round draft pick. In fact, maybe he's the player the team should have been investing in all along. The former sixth-round draft pick drove that point home even further on Tuesday by hauling in a couple of touchdown passes from quarterback Drake Maye.
One play in particular went for nearly 50 yards with starting safety Craig Woodson in coverage. Boutte got behind Woodson, Maye floated the ball up perfectly and the two connected on a touchdown. It was arguably the best catch and throw through the four training camp practices.
