The FedEx Cup Playoffs start in two weeks, which means we’re set for a lot of jostling around the top-70 bubble at the Rocket Classic and next week’s Wyndham Championship. First, the PGA Tour heads to Detroit Golf Club after a recent $16-million renovation. Unfortunately, this will be the eighth and final iteration of this event here, as Rocket declined to pick up its option for 2027 .
Defending champ Aldrich Potgieter will tee off, as will World No. 3 Cameron Young and last week’s first-time PGA Tour winner Jackson Koivun. The 21-year-old is coming off a three-shot victory over Scottie Scheffler at the 3M Open, and is now exactly at No. 70, the last entry into the FedEx St. Jude Championship. He’ll have two weeks to hold off big names such as Jason Day and Keegan Bradley, not far behind him.
