NEW DELHI: India captain Shubman Gill has returned to the summit of the ICC ODI batting rankings, reclaiming the world No. 1 spot after six months by overtaking New Zealand's Daryl Mitchell in the latest update released on Wednesday.
Gill now leads the rankings with 801 rating points, replacing Mitchell, who slips to second with 794 points after missing New Zealand's recently concluded ODI series against the West Indies.
Gill back on top after Mitchell's reign ends The ICC confirmed that Gill's rise came after Mitchell's absence from the Black Caps' latest ODI assignment in the Caribbean.
