[PA Media] Scotland went agonisingly close to recording the biggest netball upset of these Commonwealth Games in a two-point tussle with 2022 silver medallists Jamaica.
The Scots had never won a quarter - never mind a match - against the fourth best team in the world, but they belied their own ranking of 10 to push them to the end.
Ultimately, the Jamaicans needed a last-second goal to win 45-43 at an ear-splitting Hydro, with the sides level going into the final quarter.
"That was incredible, arguably our best-ever performance," captain Emily Nicholl told BBC Sport Scotland.
"We won two quarters against them so we're not frustrated. This was a free shot for us and we just wanted to go at them. Tomorrow is our crunch game."
That game - Scotland's last in the pool - is against Uganda and the hosts know that victory could well secure their place in Friday's fifth/sixth play-off.
