The New York Jets have been at the butt of plenty of jokes over the years. That comes with the territory of having the longest playoff drought in the NFL.
But this one really stings.
Former NFL wide receiver Plaxico Burress, now 48, spent one season with the Jets in 2011. That's all it took for him to come to this conclusion.
Burress notably spent 20 months behind bars for illegal gun possession during an appearance on Lil Wayne’s The Joint Venture Show .
Burress made a sincere comparison between spending time in prison and playing for Gang Green. As one could expect, it was not a flattering one.
"They're both kind of similar because when I walked into prison on my first day, I was like, 'damn man you a (expletive) loser.' And I had the same damn feeling every day I walked through the door with the Jets," Burress said.
