The PGA Tour suspended golfer Trey Mullinax for six months on Wednesday for violating its performance-enhancing substances policy.
Mullinax, the Tour said, tested positive for a substance prohibited by the World Anti-Doping Agency. It’s unclear what that substance actually is, or when he tested positive. But, the league said that Mullinax has “cooperated fully with the Tour throughout the process and accepted his suspension.”
He’ll be eligible to return to the Tour on January 16, 2027.
“I take full responsibility for what happened,” Mullinax said in a statement, in part. “At the end of the day, it is my responsibility to understand and follow the PGA Tour’s anti-doping policy and all of its rules and regulations. I failed to do that, and that is on me.”
