NEW YORK — With trade rumors swirling about Freddy Peralta and where he’ll be dealt before Monday’s deadline, the Mets aren’t changing the right-hander’s pitching plans.
Peralta will make his next scheduled start on Friday night unless he’s traded before first pitch, Mets interim manager Andy Green confirmed on Thursday.

The Mets shouldn’t take the same approach with fellow trade candidate Clay Holmes this weekend.
Holmes pitched four scoreless innings with Class-A St. Lucie on Tuesday to finish his brief rehab assignment. That puts him in line to start in a big-league uniform on Sunday. It’ll be his first outing against MLB hitters since he got hit by a comebacker and fractured his fibula in May.
