Benny Agbayani was a Mets fan’s favorite in the late 1990s and early 2000s, earning the nickname “Hawaiian Punch” for the pair of clutch home runs he hit during the 2000 season.
Now his former team has traded for his son.

The Mets traded left-handed reliever A.J. Minter to the Minnesota Twins for 19-year-old shortstop Bruin Agbayani and third baseman Billy Amick, per MLB.com and other reports. The teams have not officially confirmed the trade.
