Manchester City line up 34-year-old Gerónimo Rulli as experienced cover with Trafford set for club-record Leeds transfer Manchester City are targeting a deal to re-sign veteran goalkeeper Geronimo Rulli to replace James Trafford.
Trafford is nearing a move to Leeds United, who have agreed a club-record deal for the goalkeeper worth an initial £40m. The 23-year-old wanted to leave the Etihad for a first-choice role, having spent last season as deputy to Gianluigi Donnarumma.
He made only four appearances in the Premier League last season, and 17 in all competitions, following a £31m transfer from Burnley.
Enzo Maresca is now searching for cover for Donnarumma with Rulli in City's sights. According to Fabrizio Romano , the Cityzens are exploring a deal for the 34-year-old, who is open to the move from Marseille.
