Allen Park — Detroit Lions coach Dan Campbell dropped a nugget on Thursday that had potential to be a major concern, when he mentioned that running back Jahmyr Gibbs is dealing with "a little bit of a back" injury that popped up during his conditioning test.
Campbell followed up on the matter on Friday, saying, "I don't think it's severe."
Gibbs, who is apparently holding in to secure a contract extension, will be one of the Lions' most important players next season, making the positive diagnosis about his back a major relief for Detroit.
More injury updates ▶ DB Christian Izien: Izien (flu) was thought to be able to return on Friday, but that'll be delayed at least another day. Campbell wants to give the defensive back an extra day to recover.
"One more day, that's the hope. We were hopeful (for) today, but just, (we said), 'Man, let's back this up one more day,'" Campbell said.…
