The teenager ended up helping La Roja win the tournament to add the World Cup to his growing list of titles.
Yamal has now been given three weeks off, along with his Spain team-mates, and has been holidaying with girlfriend Ines Garcia.
Yet she has been happy to show off on Instagram how Yamal is sticking to his training regime (and still wearing his Spain training kit) by posting some videos with the caption: “In reality we’re not really on vacation…”
Yamal missed several weeks of action with a hamstring injury…
