Photo Credit: Francois Nel/Staff / Getty Images King Charles made a dramatic entry alongside Queen Camilla to open the 23rd Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland. The entry was inspired by the iconic British TV series, “Doctor Who”. The royal couple emerged from the TARDIS, a fictional time machine and spacecraft from the popular science fiction series.
Charles formally inaugurated the Games as the Head of the Commonwealth. The event will include 10 sports with 3,000 athletes from 74 nations and territories competing. It will also feature six Para sports during the 11-day event.
