(Photo by Serena Taylor/Newcastle United via Getty Images) Newcastle United has reportedly rejected Besiktas’ opening attempt to sign Joe Willock, with the Magpies standing firm over their valuation of the midfielder despite him only having one year left on his deal.
Willock has been linked with a move away from St. James’ Park throughout the summer after slipping down Eddie Howe’s midfield pecking order, but it looks like Newcastle is unwilling to let him leave cheaply.
According to Chronicle Live’s Lee Ryder , Besiktas made an initial £10 million offer through intermediaries, only for Newcastle to immediately dismiss the proposal.
