FAIRHOPE, Ala (WKRG) – Former Fairhope Pirates star Megan Curry has been hired as UAB’s head softball coach.
ONLY ON NEWS 5: Mobile native and NBA rookie Labaron Philon reacts to LeBron James signing to the Philadelphia 76ers According to a UAB news release, the Blazers hired Curry on Monday, July 27, to be the seventh head coach of the program.
Curry was previously the head coach of the Samford Bulldogs, where she played at the collegiate level. She accounted for an overall record of 61-54, a Southern Conference Championship game appearance and a top-three conference finish in each of her two seasons in 2025 and 2026.
