Celtic have agreed a club-record fee of £11m plus add-ons to sign striker Kasper Hogh from Bodo/Glimt, while Daizen Maeda has completed his move to Ipswich Town in a separate £10m deal.
The two transfers, confirmed within hours of each other, mark the end of an era for one of Celtic’s most productive forwards and the start of a new one built around a Danish international who scored one of the goals of last season’s Champions League.
Hogh Set to Arrive This Weekend Hogh, 25, is understood to be keen to join the Scottish champions and will arrive in the UK on Saturday evening ahead of completing his medical. The Denmark international has been Celtic’s number one centre-forward target this summer and is set to sign a four-year contract, with the club holding an option to extend the deal by a further year.
