Duke and Michigan's non-conference men's basketball matchup, previously scheduled for Dec. 21, has been canceled, according to multiple reports on Friday, July 24.
The two powerhouse programs had originally agreed to play at Madison Square Garden in New York City before trying to move the game to the Miami Marlins' stadium. Neither team could come to an agreement, according to the reports, and Duke will now play Texas Tech at Madison Square Garden on Dec. 21 instead.
A request for comment by USA TODAY Sports to Duke and Michigan was not immediately returned at the time of publication.
