Dontayvion Wicks provided an early glimpse of the big-play ability the Eagles envisioned when they acquired him from the Green Bay Packers . Wicks produced the highlight of Thursday’s training camp practice at the Jefferson Health Training Complex , elevating between Jakorian Bennett and Cole Wisniewski to secure a deep pass from Jalen Hurts.
The throw required Hurts to trust his receiver in traffic. Wicks rewarded that confidence by attacking the ball at its highest point, maintaining possession through contact and completing one of the most difficult catches of the opening two days of camp.
Hurts saluted Wicks from downfield before offering a more colorful assessment of the play.
