Diego Pavia 's time with the Baltimore Ravens didn't even make it to training camp.
Pavia, the former Vanderbilt football quarterback and Heisman runner-up, was signed by the Ravens as an undrafted free agent, but he was waived July 23.
Pavia's NFL career is not necessarily over. Other teams will have the chance to sign him. But while his style of creating magic by scrambling outside the pocket was perfect in the Commodores ' system, leading to their first 10-win season, it's not as good of a fit in the NFL.
Pavia, who has always played with a chip on his shoulder, is unlikely to give up on playing football quickly. But here are five potential options for where Pavia could go next:
Sign with another NFL team When a player is waived in the NFL, first other teams have the option to claim the player. If he goes unclaimed, he becomes a free agent.
